| Module content | This module is a continuation of Periodontology 171 and will provide the oral hygiene student with knowledge of: • Periodontal diseases • Pathogenesis of periodontal diseases • Implantology • Surgical procedures The module will also enable the oral hygiene student to: • Compile, exercise and evaluate a comprehensive and effective preventive, therapeutic and maintenance plan for the periodontal patient • Actively participate in the prevention, treatment and maintenance of periodontal conditions |
